1983年7月，河南省首家外國語學校創(chuàng)建，始名為鄭州市外國語中學。

Named as Foreign Language Middle School,the first foreign language school in Henan Province, wasborn in July 1983

1986年，由鄭州市布廠街同慶里胡同遷入隴海西路65號，每屆設有初中4個班，高中2個班。

Immigrate to No. 65, Longhai Road fromTongqingli Hutong, Buchang Street, Zhengzhou in 1986 with 4 senior classes and2 junior classes in each grade 

1988年，經(jīng)河南省教委、國家教委備案，更名為鄭州外國語學校。Renamed as Foreign Language School by EducationCommittee of Henan Province and National Education Committee, 1988

1994年，當年高考同時摘取河南省外語類、文史類狀元，一炮打響，引起社會轟動。

Got the first place of Henan Province in foreignlanguage and art, 1994; thus to impress the society with great success

2000年，投資8600萬元在鄭州高新技術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)開發(fā)區(qū)興建高中部。

2001年，被教育部確定為首批全國十三所具有保送生資格的外國語學校之一。

Regarded as one of the thirteen foreign languageschools with recommendation by Ministry of Education, 2001

2003年，隴海路校區(qū)作為初中部，命名為鄭州外國語中學；楓楊街校區(qū)作為高中部，命名為鄭州外國語學校。

Campus on Longhai Road named ForeignLanguge Middle School was used as junior branch, campus on Fengyang Streetnamed Foreign Language School was used as senior branch; 2003

2006年，鄭州外國語中學整體搬遷至73中過渡，隴海路校區(qū)改造破土動工。

Zhengzhou Foreign Language Middle Schoolmoved to NO. 73 Middle School as a transfer; whileLonghai campus was under reconstruction, 2006

2007年，新校區(qū)建成投入使用，暑假期間全校師生整體遷回。

All the teachers and students moved back to the new campus in summer, 2007

2009年，校園北擴新增教學用地15.9畝。

Enlarge the campus north by 1.06 hectares, 2009

2010年，鄭州實驗外國語中學搬遷至鄭密路新址，納入鄭州外國語學校集團，成為鄭州市優(yōu)質(zhì)教育資源倍增工程重點項目。

Zhengzhou Experimental Foreign LanguageMiddle school moved to Zhengmi Road, joined Zhengzhou Foreign Language Groupand became the important program of increase in quality education resource inZhengzhou, 2010

2013年，新建游泳館、體育館、空中花園、東大門投入使用，學校迎來建校三十周年校慶。

The new swimming pool, gym, air garden and east gate will be put in use; theschool will welcome the 30^th birthday, 2013
